Born to Perform Stage School – Terms and Conditions

Club Name: Born to Perform Stage School
These Terms and Conditions govern participation in all classes held by Born to Perform Stage School. All members and their parents/guardians must read and agree to these Terms before participation.
1. Eligibility
Open to young people aged 4-17 years old.
A completed registration form and parental/guardian consent are required for membership.
Members must comply with the School’s rules and conduct policies at all times.
2. Parental/Guardian Consent
Parents or guardians must provide written consent for their child to participate.
Emergency contact details and medical information must be submitted prior to the first session.
Parents/guardians agree to promptly inform the School of any changes to this information.
3. Code of Conduct
All members agree to:
Be respectful to peers, staff, and volunteers at all times.
Follow directions from directors, choreographers, and leaders.
Work as a team and contribute positively to the school and class environment.
Avoid any bullying, exclusion, or inappropriate behaviour at all times.
Adhere to the school uniform policy at all times.
Zero-tolerance for bullying or harassment. Repeated violations may lead to dismissal.
4. Attendance & Commitment
Regular attendance at rehearsals is essential.
Members must notify the School in advance if they are unable to attend.
Excessive unexcused absences may result in removal from roles or performances.
5. Fees and Refund Policy
A show participation fee is required to be paid for all participation in future shows.
Fees contribute to venue hire, costumes, licensing, materials, etc.
Fees are non-refundable unless a session or production is cancelled by the School.
6. Health, Safety & Supervision
The safety of all members is our priority.
Members must behave safely and responsibly during all sessions.
The School is not liable for personal injury unless due to proven negligence.
Parents/guardians must collect children promptly after sessions. If a student is collected later than 15 minutes after school hours conclude, a £10 fee will be charged.
7. Safeguarding
All staff and volunteers working with children are subject to appropriate background checks and must hold a valid UK DBS. In the event of working in a theatre, all staff must hold a valid chaperone license backstage.
The School follows national child safeguarding guidelines.
Any concerns about a child’s welfare will be handled confidentially and appropriately.
Any safeguarding concerns must be reported immediately to our safeguarding lead: Gabrielle Onyett (07753105594).
8. Costumes, Props & Equipment
Members may be asked to provide personal basics (e.g., dance shoes, plain clothing).
Costumes provided by the School must be returned in good condition and are let out on a hire fee basis only.
Lost or damaged items may incur a replacement fee.
9. Photography and Media
The School may take photos and videos during sessions and performances for promotional and archival purposes.
These may be used on the School’s website, social media, and printed materials.
Parents/guardians may opt out by informing the School in writing.
10. Communication
School updates will be shared via email (borntoperformstage@gmail.com) or parent/guardian messaging groups.
Parents are responsible for checking communications regularly for schedule changes, event info, etc.
11. Disciplinary Action
The School reserves the right to take appropriate action for breaches of these Terms, including:
Verbal warnings
Meetings with parents/guardians
Temporary suspension
Permanent dismissal (with no refund)
12. Agreement
By signing up, both the participant and their parent/guardian acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
